Just having a bit of fun in my garden (well balcony) I took myself to my local garden centre earlier this morning and spent my afternoon planting my chosen plants.

Since getting my iPhone 4S, I hardly ever use my Camera. Whenever I feel inspired I snap and shoot using the camera on my iPhone.

The other day I stumbled upon a blog post: 40 secret iPhone features and shortcuts. I found a shortcut that is very helpful:

• Use the + volume button as a shutter on your iphone

I find that holding my iPhone with one hand can somtimes leave me with out of focus images. Now, I find by using this shortcut and holding my phone horizontally while pushing the + button my phots aren’t as blurry.

My other half decided I Should enter a sock designing contest  for fun, so I did. there is only one more day to enter pop along to Sock it to me for all the info.

I entered 4 designs so fingers crossed one of them gets me a place in the finale.

Whilst reading one of my favourite blogs a creative mint, I came across this amazing book Mastering the art of fabric printing and design you may not know that I have a degree in printed textiles but that was some many moons ago and its nice to refresh your skills and learn from others and this book is great.

The book explains step by step how to create digital patterns using different software such as Photoshop and Illustrator, The author also covers all other aspects of printing your own fabrics.

This book is great and really informative.

Spring flowers in my home … My second favourite season is spring (1st is autumn) I feel like i’ve just woken up from a long cold wintery sleep and i’m greeted by birds singing,  blue skies, sunshine, sheep and I love spring  flowers.
