I’m growing some cress on my kitchen window-sill, it takes me back to my childhood when we grew cress in school.

I cant wait to have cress and egg sandwiches. yum!

Baking: Cake

I wish I was a domestic goddess when it comes to baking cakes, but I’m not. I try my best and they either look good and taste rubbish or they taste rubbish but look great. I’m not sure which one this cake falls into but we will have to wait for the answer as I have made this for the Mr. he’s been away on business so I thought I would try and bake a cake for him, to eat when he returns.

Mini trip: Lincoln

I have recently come back from a lovely mini trip to Lincoln with the Mr. it was a nice relaxing trip, its so nice to take time out with the people you love its so easy to get swept away with the  busyness of everyday life.

we stayed at The Old Bakery Restaurant with Rooms, it was a stones throw away to Lincoln Cathedral, Castle and many other points of historic interest in the Cathedral Quarter with lots of shops, cafes and pubs.

we had a stroll around and took in the sights and rustic surroundings.
